Privacy Policy
What we collect, why, how long we keep it, and when we delete it
This site publishes its revenue and how that revenue is shared. For the same reason, we publish how we handle your information.
Effective 10 September 2026 · Last revised 10 September 2026
0. Logging in creates an account
There is no separate sign-up screen, but logging in is signing up
This site has no username-and-password registration page. The moment you log in with Google or an email link, an account is created, and from then on it accumulates:
- your display name and login identifier
- the feedback and guestbook entries you leave, and whether they were adopted
- your accrued points and revenue shares
- your choice of how you want to be credited
So logging in is not merely authentication — it is registration. To pay you, we have to keep remembering who contributed what. If you would rather not, the guestbook offers “write without login” — no account is created, and no points accrue.
1. What we collect
Including what we do not collect
| When | What | Required |
|---|---|---|
| Login | Email address, login identifier (Google account ID) | Required |
| Feedback | Name/nickname, email, feedback text, target section, category, credit preference, visibility choice | Required |
| Feedback | Instagram handle, reference link, attachment (max 5MB) | Optional |
| Feedback | Reward choice (points · investment · donation), interest in joining the crew | Optional |
| Feedback | Consent to receive announcement and revenue-report email | Optional |
| Guestbook | Name/nickname, message | Required |
| Automatic | Timestamp, likes | — |
* Your email is never published. What appears publicly is your display name and any feedback you marked as public.
* We do not collect national ID numbers, postal addresses, phone numbers, or payment details. If cash distribution begins, we will explain what is needed for settlement and ask for separate consent then.
2. Why we collect it
| Purpose | Data used |
|---|---|
| Reviewing feedback and deciding what enters the work | Feedback text, target section, category, attachment |
| Crediting you (film, e-book, website) | Name/nickname, credit preference |
| Recording and paying points and revenue shares | Account identifier, name, contribution record |
| Sending revenue reports and announcements | Email (only if you consented) |
| Verifying identity, preventing duplicates and impersonation | Login identifier |
| Reviewing crew applications | Interest flag, feedback text, Instagram handle |
* We use it for nothing else. If a new purpose arises, we ask you again first.
* We do not sell or share your feedback with third parties. If that ever becomes a possibility, we will contact the people concerned individually and ask for separate consent. Declining places no restriction whatsoever on your use of this site.
3. How long we keep it
| Data | Retention | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Account information | Until you close your account | — |
| Feedback that was not adopted | Until you close your account | — |
| Adopted contributions | See section 4 | Obligation to pay |
| Points and share payment records | 5 years from payment | Statutory retention |
| Email consent records | Until withdrawn | — |
* Once the period ends, data is destroyed irrecoverably.
4. What happens to your rewards if you leave
Set out separately because it is the question most likely to matter
Closing your account does not erase rewards already earned. A share in adopted work is something we owe you, and deleting an account does not cancel a debt. What it can do is leave us with no way to pay you — so when you close your account you choose one of three options.
| Option | Reward | What we keep |
|---|---|---|
| A. Settle now | Take what has accrued so far; share ends | Settlement record for 5 years (statutory); everything else destroyed |
| B. Keep your share | Continue to be paid at each revenue report | Only what payment requires — name, contact, contribution and share record. Everything else destroyed |
| C. Waive it | No further reward | Everything destroyed except statutory records |
Credit works differently.
- It cannot be recalled from editions already published or distributed (e-book, screening prints, site archive). What has gone out cannot be pulled back.
- On request we will change or remove it in editions produced afterwards.
- You may equally ask us to keep your name. The fact of your contribution does not disappear, and the right to have it acknowledged belongs to you.
※ If you choose B and we cannot reach you for three years, we destroy what we held and move the unpaid amount to the donation line on the revenue page. That transfer is itself recorded in the revenue report.

5. Where it is stored
We run no servers of our own; we use external services
| Provider | Role | Data | Stored in |
|---|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Login, guestbook and feedback storage | Email, login identifier, display name, submitted text | South Korea (Seoul region) |
| Google (Apps Script · Sheets) | Receiving and storing image/video feedback | Name, email, Instagram handle, feedback text, attachments | Outside Korea (per Google) |
| GitHub (Pages) | Site hosting | Access logs (not separately retained by us) | Outside Korea (US etc.) |
* Login data and guestbook/feedback text are stored on servers in South Korea (Seoul). They do not leave the country.
* Image/video feedback passes through Google services, and the site is hosted on GitHub. Those two may involve servers outside Korea.
* Providers may not use the data for any purpose beyond the role entrusted to them.
6. Your rights
- Access — we will tell you what we hold about you
- Correction — we will fix anything inaccurate
- Deletion — you may request it (subject to the reward exceptions in section 4)
- Restriction — you may ask us to stop processing
- Withdrawal — email consent can be revoked at any time
Write to cinmaite0@gmail.com and we will act within 10 days and tell you the outcome.
※ Children under 14 may not use the site without the consent of a legal guardian. If we find such data, we destroy it.
